You can always afford to be cute. BUT don’t break the bank ; if you don’t have it you don’t have it- and rent is ALWAYS more important than clothes. But I understand, it is hard to see something and want it so bad! Taking into consideration the economy, this bill and that bill…what’s important, ect…it can suck. So lets look at some things-booties for now…that are super cute but withing price range! (But remember, only you and your bank account know that for sure )

Take the all black biker style of the 80’s, sprinkle in a dab of grey, denim and white here and there and a few feminine touches, include some Louboutin’s and total edgy-ness and you are sure to come up with a mixture that looks something like…Rihanna. I love this chick! She is not only the cutest, her style is all unique. I can’t say it’s always right…but she hits the nail on the head quite more often than not. Let’s just hope she keeps it this way without going all Lady Gaga on us (no offense my Gaga lovers!)

This is clearly a conversational peice. As you can see, while exploring the wonderful world of Moschino and couture booties…I stumbled upon this number…should that be plural? Numbers? Ok. Well. What we have here is a gold, strappy sandal/dressy shoe attached to it’s alter-ego like a siamesse twin….or parasite….whichever way you choose to interpret this particular situation. My biggest question here is…would you even wear the same outfit with a gold strappy heel that you would with a suede, zip up bootie? I guess you would just have to try it on. And for a mere $819.00, you can do just that. I just have one request…please, please upload pics so we can see!!

I totally have to brag about this score I made today at yes…Marshalls.  Here I stood, in the 8 1/2 section shoe row in Marshalls at Bailey’s Crossroads in Fairfax, VA with a brand new pair of Steven by Steve Madden boots with a price tag of $29.99.When I looked down at the price-tag, I thought to myself, someone must have…had to have…tagged these riding boots wrong. Without further a-do..or questions, comments, or thoughts, I proceded straight to the check-out line and out the door with my precious new found treasure.  And trust Honey, they were on my feet within the hour.

Yay!!!!!!!!! Sorry, it’s hard to contain the excitement of saving $100 on boots that are still currently in stock at Nordstrom’s…at full price might I add.

So it seems as if the word “Recessionista” is a term that we cannot…and will not escape. It’s an expression that you can find in TV commercials and newspaper articles. Most likely, this term has debuted or even has its own section in your favorite fashion blog and magazine. A label that was originally assigned to the “wallet-watching ,money saving but still want to be fly in an unstable economy”-shopper, the term was right on time when it made it’s debut last year during the peak of our country’s economic crisis. For some of us who were on a tight budget before this economic downturn…it’s a great word for how we’ve already been shopping (or living…since the words are interchangeable.)  Everyone is now on our level…and we have the luxury of being able to stick to our fashion diets while others are just getting started.  So…from the runway to 5th avenue to Target…we can all get our fashion on.  Just one more thing….we only need one word for this, I mean, we all get it. Frugalista, Cheapalista…we only need one “ista” and Recessionista was first. So to all of you who want to jump on the word maker-upper bandwagon…Let’s leave well enough alone before it gets too crazy. Thanks.

Well, if your asking Miley Cyrus…it looks like a lot. This larger than life closet is showcased here getting a good old “cleansing” by Miss Cyrus herself along with the BFF Mandy. With Miley in the background adding what looks like the whole Macy’s teen department to her closet floor, Mandy helps the time go by faster with a repeated joke…”it’s like a tank top.”

Last month while promoting her new DVD release of the “Hanna Montana” movie, Miley was quoted saying “I love, love, love to go shopping! I have a great walk-in closet at home. My closet is the best closet you’ve ever seen! It’s huge, and it’s filled to the brim because I love clothes.” After seeing this video….who could tell??

At least all of this cleansing frenzy went towards a good cause.  Partnering with Ebay, Miley was able to auction off some of her favorite outfits; including that wonderful gold and black Theory dress that she wore last year along lots and lots of tank tops (lol). All of the proceeds went to the Pappy Cyrus Family Foundation, a family charity founded last year in honor of Miley’s grandad to help kids in need.

If you missed the auction which went on between August 6-August 13 don’t fret.  You can still dive into some of Miley’s digs- new at Walmart. Her new collection, Miley & Max, debuted on August 28 along with a Walmart only DC titled “The Times of Our Lives.”
